Stretching is required to straighten artwork on material or needlework, prior to framing.

Our workshop caters for stretching all art on material, such as batiks and silk paintings as well as tapestries , either for framing or for cushion covers and fire screens.

Canvas Stretching
We frame and conserve all old samplers and the stretching of needlework and embroidery that we undertake is of a very high standard.
Sometimes it is advisable to attach the work directly to the board by stitching.
(Sometimes extra material needs adding to enable the work to be stretched.)

Traditional lace stretching is offered to conserve your work or glue stretching, which is less time consuming and hence maybe more acceptable to your budget.
